Sam Smith vocal cords operate and cancel concerts – ABC Color

NEW YORK. The pop sensation 22 Sam Smith, famous for his ballad “Stay With Me”, said Thursday that will undergo surgery on the vocal cords and canceled several weeks after an incessant concert tour.

After flying to Los Angeles to see a specialist in vocal cord hemorrhage, Smith, the big winner of the last Grammy music awards, said doctors he said he needed an operation.

“I am very disappointed to lose all these concerts and events in which he was supposed to sing,” he wrote on Instagram. “The doctors say he’ll be back in six to eight weeks and can not wait to sing for you all soon.”

Smith said he was told that after the operation, may “sing like never before so it will be worth it. “

The operation will take place next week and the young can not speak sing–much less for the next three weeks.

Among other dates Smith was scheduled to open on May 16 Rock in Rio Festival USA in Las Vegas. He also canceled presentations at major events in the UK and Paris. He had already canceled concerts in Japan, the Philippines and Australia, after doctors detected bleeding after a concert in Sydney.

Smith, who until recently worked as a waiter in London, he amassed a fortune and gained fame world with the touching song Stay With Me , on a one-night stand.

It was the big winner at the Grammy awards presented in February in Los Angeles, where he was three of the four awards they were nominated: Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Newcomer of the Year
