France led the winners at Cannes – LaRepública.pe

SURPRISES. Jacques Audiard was consecrated in the 68th edition of the Festival with his drama Dheepan. Actor Vincent Lindon dedicated an emotional speech and the appointment of actress Emmanuelle Bercot was the most discussed.

 French director Jacques Audiard took by surprise Palme at Cannes with its Dheepan film, a love story between illegal immigrants from Sri Lanka in Paris.

 

 The film tells the journey of Dheepan, a former guerrilla who arrived in France with a false passport accompanied by a young girl pretending to be his family. After obtaining political asylum, unknown learn to know and love, while around him a war between drug gangs unleashed.
