Disney cancels ‘Tron 3′ – Terra Colombia

Disney has decided to cancel ‘Tron 3′ according to The Hollywood Reporter. According to sources, the project was never officially green light, however, was in its set-up, with shooting scheduled to begin this fall, probably in Vancouver, Canada.

Joseph Kosinski director of ‘Tron: Legacy’, would take the helm of this third installment of the series of science fiction, which would have actors Olivia Wilde and Garrett Hedlund repeating their roles ‘Quorra’ and ‘Sam Flynn’, respectively.

‘Tron: Legacy’ was released in 2010 and the final left open the possibility of that history will continue with a new film.

At the moment the reasons why it was decided not to make the tape is unknown, it is likely that fans of Tron remain disappointed by this and just have to wait to see if they could resume the project in the future.
