The excerpts from a memoir written by Orson Welles were found by experts from the University of Michigan.
The texts include dedicated to his parents, his second wife, Rita Hayworth, passages and writer Ernest Hemingway. The documents were in eight boxes Welles materials acquired by this institution and which were previously held in Croatia actress Oja Kodar, companion of director of “Citizen Kane” during the last 24 years of his life.
These contents Welles also include rare photographs, personal messages and letters and scripts, which will swell the already extensive collection of the work of Orson Welles from the University of Michigan.
Kodar boxes that arrived this month to study center and analyzed so far, the reports would be in the early stages of writing. “There seems to be close to a final draft, but that does not mean it will not be important for scholars and researchers,” said Philip Hallman, curator of the collection of screen arts school.
