After exploring marginality neighborhoods, immigration, unemployment and prostitution, Aranoa deepens the humanitarian crisis after the horrors of a war in the Balkans. The film is set in 1995 and tells of a day in the life of a group of humanitarian workers exposed to terrible atrocities, to a reality that endures and a bureaucracy that hinders and frustrates.
Filmed in Granada, “A Day perfect “uses humor as a survival of this group of actors mingling comedy and drama. Aranoa wrote a script based on the novel by Paula Farias but using their experience with various NGOs to tell his story.
While the film is irregular and has divided critical opinion , the soundtrack to punk rock songs of Velvet Underground, Ramones and Buzzcocks, with cinematography Alex Catalan, serve as a way to convey the most intense, oppressive and even give air to the story emotions.
