MEXICO CITY, Mexico, May. 15, 2015.- born on September 16, 1925 and christened Riley Ben King, but the world knew him as BB King.

In 1948, played his guitar in Memphis in the radio program of Sonny Boy Williamson II, where he began to develop a local public.

Among the eighties and nineties, King recorded less but maintained a highly visible and active career. He appeared in numerous television shows and performed up to 300 concerts a year. In 1988, he reached a new generation of fans with the song “When Love Comes To Town” with his U2 Rattle and Hum album.

The Farewell Tour ended in Luxembourg on September 19, 2006 at the D’Coque stadium.

During a press conference on November 29 in São Paulo, a journalist asked King if that would be the final farewell tour. King said: “One of my favorite actors is a man from Scotland named Sean Connery Most of you know him as James Bond, 007. He made a movie called Never Say Never Again.”

In June. 2010, made a brief tour of Spain, performing his classic topics in Madrid and Valladolid.

B. B. King was licensed, player and vegetarian, non-drinker and non-smoker since age 60 pilot. King lived almost ten years with diabetes and was a visible spokesman in the fight against this disease.

King died in his sleep at his home in Las Vegas, according to information provided by his lawyer.
