After serving 25 years on the air, The Simpsons has in mind to continue a little longer on the screen. The producers of the series signed with Fox for two more seasons.
Throughout these years there have been several changes in the program. For example, they disappeared characters like Edna Krabappel and Rabbi Krustofski .
Now a new modification will occur. Flanders, Mr. Burns, Smithers, Skinner, Lenny, among other characters, will not leave his original voice. The actor who dubs – 26 years – Harry Shearer , to be announced by differences cycle production.
In his Twitter account, Shearer explained what had prompted his departure: “I wanted what we’ve always had: freedom to do other work.”
The actor, 71, was the only one who had not yet signed the contract renewal for another two years as the rest of the doblajistas.
By far the chain has not said who will replace Shearer. It whoever shall occupy a large space in the series and will have to play numerous characters.
