Catherine, wife of Prince William, gives birth to a girl – El Nuevo Herald

The Duchess of Cambridge, wife of Prince William, gave birth to a girl on Saturday, according to the British crown.

Catalina “gave birth to her daughter safely” at 8 : 34 am London time (7:34 GMT), said Kensington Palace

The small weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces (3.7 kilos).. Both Catherine and her daughter were doing well, said the palace, and Prince William was present at birth.

The Princess is the fourth in line to the throne and the fifth great-granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II.

The leading members of the royal family had been informed and “are delighted with the news,” said the statement.

Catherine, who married William in April 2011, gave birth to Prince George in the same hospital in July 2013.

It was not expected that the authorities should announce the name of the newborn immediately. In the case of Jorge, they spent two days before his name became public.
