Baton Rouge .- The American singer of soul and R & B Percy Sledge, known for the worldwide hit” When a Man Loves a Woman, “has died at dawn today at his home in Baton Rouge, in the US state of Louisiana, as confirmed by his manager.
Sledge was 73 years old and had long battling cancer, reports ABC News. Besides “When a Man Loves a Woman” (1966), authored other hits of the 70s like “I’ll Be Your Everything” and “Sunshine”, DPA reported.
