A statement autograph “Road to perfection” – El Diario de Yucatán

         


     

MADRID The exhibition “Teresa of Jesus. The proof of my truth “which houses the National Library of Spain (BNE) yesterday joined the second edition of the autograph manuscript Teresa of Jesus, entitled” Way of Perfection “from the Discalced Carmelite Monastery of Valladolid, Spain.

The exhibition, organized by the Cultural Spanish National Library of Spain (BNE) and Action (AC / E) on the occasion of the V Centenary of the Birth of St. Teresa of Jesus, opened on 11 March, presented through 110 pieces including books, paintings, prints and sculptures, the vast wealth of his life, his work as founder and above all, originality and beauty of his writing, publishes the revistadearte.com page.

The curators of the exhibition can be seen until May 31, 2015, are Rosa Navarro Durán, philologist and professor of Spanish Literature at the University of Barcelona; Dobado and Juan Fernández, Discalced Carmelite, Bachelor of Theology, Doctor of Art History and Museum director John of the Cross of Ubeda and Miriam magazine.

The exhibition “Teresa of Jesus. The proof of my truth “shows visitors several manuscripts books and letters written in the handwriting of Teresa of Jesus. Among them, the “Book of Life”, “Foundations,” “Mode visiting convents” or the two essays he wrote the “Way of Perfection”.

Because of the delicate state of conservation present, these works will be exhibited to the public only for a month.

Throughout the entire exhibition period the various titles to that at all times the visitor can admire are alternated any of the autographs Teresa of Jesus.

Four of these autographs books are kept in the Royal Library of the Monastery San Lorenzo de El Escorial, through the efforts of Felipe II in collecting the works of Teresa of Jesus.
