To Albarn, the current generation of pop musicians not challenge the establishment or discuss politics because they are part of” selfie generation. “

“Look at today’s music. Does it say anything? Young artists talk about themselves, not what is happening out there. Is selfie generation, “Albarn said the Sunday Times, adding that commonly fall into cliches.

Albarn, 47, said he did not manage to listen to anything other than “this is how I feel” part of today’s musicians. “That’s an important part of writing songs but I mean we are in the context of an election, and they have nothing to do with it,” he said.

Blur is prepared to release their eighth studio album, called “The magic whip”, the first since 2003.
