MADRID films “Happy 140″, “Loreak” and “Magical Girl” have been shortlisted to represent Spain in the next edition of the Oscars of Hollywood, announced Tuesday the Spanish Film Academy.
The “Happy 140″ drama directed by Gracia Querejeta, the suspense film “Magical Girl” by Carlos Vermouth and the film shot in Basque “Loreak” Jon Garaño and Jose Mari Goenaga will opt to be chosen as candidates for an Oscar for best film Foreign Language.
“Loreak” received two nominations for the Goya 2015, including best picture, while ” Magical Girl “got 7 nominations, finally winning the award for best actress, which went to Barbara Lennie.
The final choice of the Spanish candidate to qualify for the Oscars will be announced on September 29.
