And the Latin Grammy Honors is for – Televisa News

MEXICO CITY, Mexico, Sept. 15,2015.- The Latin Recording Academy announced the names of the artists who will receive their honorary awards this year in the framework of the 16th edition of the Latin Grammy Awards to be held in November in Las Vegas (USA).

The singer Ana Belen and Victor Manuel (Spain), Angela Carrasco (Dominican Republic), Djavan (Brazil) and Pablo Milanes (Cuba) and the Argentine saxophonist Gato Barbieri and the group El Gran Combo De Puerto Rico will be recognized with the award for musical excellence for their artistic contributions.

In addition, the board of the Academy will award the prize that bears his name to the Uruguayan violinist Federico Britos, the Chilean music producer Humberto Gatica and Venezuelan composer Chelique Sarabia.

The Trustees Award is granted to people who, beyond his performances have made an outstanding contribution in the field of recording.

The honorary awards will be presented during a gala at the Ka Theatre MGM Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on Wednesday, November 18, the eve of the celebration of the Latin Grammy ceremony.
