Disc recorded in the Sistine Chapel for the first time – Milenio.com

For the recording, the mixer was placed in an antechamber next to the “Sala del Pianto” place where the newly elected pope gets his first papal attire.

The songs on the album will be interpreted today by the Vatican choir inside the Chapel Sistine .

As for the money raised from the sale of the album, the Holy See reported that will go to charity, at the request of Pope Francisco.

Founded in 1898, Deutsche Grammophon is one of the most internationally recognized labels and has worked with top level personalities like German violinist Anne Sophie Mutter; violinist and conductor Gidon Kremer; or the composer, pianist and conductor Leonard Bernstein.
