Emily Watson receive Donostia Award at San Sebastian – Azteca News

Madrid, España.- British actress Emily Watson get Award Donostia in recognition of his film career, which will deliver the next edition of the International Film Festival San Sebastian from 18 to 26 September.

In a statement, the festival organizers said the interpreter will pick up this distinction at a gala to be held on September 25th at the Kursaal Auditorium San Sebastian , Northern Spain.

Born in Islington (UK), Watson was trained as an actress at the prestigious Drama Studio London, and began his professional career in the theater with works like “The Children’s Hour “Lillian Hellmann,” Three Sisters “by Anton Chekhov with the Royal Shakespeare Company.

He debuted in film in 1996 with” Breaking the Waves “(Lars von Trier), which earned him awards Circles Writers Los Angeles, London and New York, the prize of the National Association of Film Critics United States and Oscar nominations and Golden Globe.

Among the many prizes and awards he has received throughout his career are in addition the British Independent Film Award for Hilary and Jackie, or the European Film Award for Breaking the Waves.
