The popular “The X-Files” (“Secrets X-Files” in Lationoamérica and “X-Files” in Spain) series returns with a new season of six chapters, 13 years after they stopped emitting in the US channel Fox.

David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will return to step into the shoes of agents Mulder and Scully in new chapters that begin shooting this next summer.

“It was like a break of 13 years yet. The good news is that the world at this time has become even stranger and is a perfect place to have these six stories now,” said Chris Carter, creator of the original series which will direct the new episodes.

“The X-Files” began airing in the US in 1993 and was in the air for nine seasons, with great success worldwide with their stories of paranormal and other mysterious events.

According highlights from Los Angeles journalist BBC Jaime Gonzalez, the series also enjoyed the favor of criticism, with 16 Emmys and five Golden Globe.
