The harsh response from Trump to Meryl Streep – Semana.com

The president-elect Donald Trump railed on Monday against the actress Meryl Streep, accusing her of being a “lacaya” Hillary Clinton, after she had criticized in the ceremony of the Golden Globes.

Streep, a prominent supporter of Clinton, lashed out at Trump for his bellicose rhetoric, to receive an award for his career in the pompous ceremony held in Los Angeles on Sunday.

“Meryl Streep, one of the actresses most overvalued of Hollywood, I don’t know but he attacked me last night at the Golden Globes,” wrote Trump on Twitter.

The veteran actress, oscar-winning on three occasions, railed against some positions of Trump and, in recalling the episode in which the then republican candidate mocked the physical condition of the reporter Serge Kovaleski of the New York Times, addressed the journalists to invite them to safeguard the truth.

In a series of tweets, Trump wrote: “She is a lacaya of Hillary who lost a lot. For the hundredth time, never 'parodié' to a reporter disabled (would never do that), but simply showed a 'creeper' when he completely changed a story he had written was 16 years old in order to make me look bad”.
