Netflix presented the first official image of “girls from the wire”, the first Spanish production of its platform. And even if you do not yet have a release date determined, the series is already giving the talk.
In “The girls from the wire”, narrated in the Madrid of the twenties, four girls start to work as phone operators in the most modern building of the city. For Lydia, Marga, los Angeles and Charlotte, the protagonists, begins the struggle for independence which his environment and the society then denies them. Blanca Suárez, Maggie Civantos, Ana Fernández and Nadia de Santiago are the actresses who lead the cast of “girls cable“.
The series is provided by Bamboo Productions, directed by Ramón Campos and Teresa Fernández-Valdés, producers of the acclaimed Spanish series “Gran Hotel” and “Velvet”, and co-created by Gema Neira.
The series will have 16 episodes and the duration of each one of them will be 50 minutes.
it is Worth mentioning that Netflix has already released original productions in Spanish-speaking. The mexican “Club of crows” it was the first of them.
