“Star Wars: Episode VIII” already has the title… it will be “The Last Jedi” – The Trade

the wait Is over. When you lack a little less than a year for the premiere of “Star Wars: Episode VIII“, Lucasfilm Disney revealed the official title of the movie directed by Rian Johnson.

“We have the greatest fans of this or another galaxy. In appreciation to them, we wanted to be the first to know the title of the next chapter of the saga Skywalker”, it indicates the portal StarWars.com where was the announcement.

The film will be called “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” (“The last Jedi”), a title that could refer to Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), who is left to see in the final minutes of the “Episode VII”. However, as highlighted by the portal to iO9, in English, the word “jedi” is singular and plural, so the title could also include Rey (Daisy Ridley).

This will be the last movie of the saga main that will count with the participation of Carrie Fisher as Leia Organa, since the actress died last December after suffering a heart attack on a flight from London to Los Angeles.

in Addition to Mark Hamill and Daisy Ridley, will return the actors Gwendoline Christie (Phasma), John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron) and Adam Driver (Kylo Ren).
