Stolen first edition of One Hundred Years of Solitude in the Fair … – El Universal – Colombia

This Sunday the theft of the first edition of One Hundred Years of Solitude in the pavilion dedicated to Macondo at the International Book Fair in Bogotá was confirmed.

The organizers of the fair, explained that the manuscript who was in a glass case and locked, belonged to the bookseller Alvaro Castillo Granada and was signed by the Nobel.

Castillo said that “the copy stolen is invaluable and can not go on sale,” while who said he already made a formal complaint.

At this time the authorities carry out the necessary investigations to find those responsible for the facts.
