The French singer Charles Aznavour,
who turns 91 on May 22, launches today “Encores” the
new album by the long-lived career of one of the great references
French song.
With twelve unreleased tracks, work is their 51 album and means
a tribute to the memories of childhood memory and career of an artist
not composing new songs since 2011 publish
“Toujours”.
In parallel, Aznavour will climb back on stage in a
international tour that will take you to Madrid on Thursday and on 24
San Sebastian October after closing an expected seven concerts schedule
Paris during the month of September.
Born in Paris in 1924, of Armenian origin named
Chahnour Varinag Aznavourian, the artist has sold over 100 million
copies of their albums in a long career that led him to collaborate with
legends of the likes of Edith Piaf and Juliette Greco.
Aznavour has also developed an intense career
film that began with “The Tête contre les murs” (1958), his
first film and a role that earned him the Cesar Award for best
Actor.
Other key film credits include classic
François Truffaut, “The Pianist Tirez South” (1960) or, more
recently, “Ararat” (2002), directed by Atom Egoyan, on the
genocide of the Armenian people in 1915.
