Lynyrd Skynyrd: Died Bob Burns, former drummer for the rock band – Journal Perú21

Bob Burns, former drummer and founding member of the American rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd, died Friday at age 64 in an accident vehicle in Georgia (USA), police said today and the group itself on its official Facebook page.

According to the Police of Georgia, Bob Burns vehicle went off the road shortly before midnight and crashed into a tree and a mailbox near the town of Cartersville.

There were no other vehicles involved in the accident, which remains under investigation by the authorities.

Robert Lewis Burns Jr. was one of the five founding members the veteran band Lynyrd Skynyrd, was born in 1960 in Jacksonville, Florida.

Bob Burns left Lynyrd Skynyrd in 1974 after recording the first two studies albums called Pronounced ‘Leh-’nérd’ skin-’nérd and Second Helping . He participated in some of the greatest hits of the band as Sweet Home Alabama or Free Bird .

The rest of its founders, singer Ronnie Van Zant died in a plane crash in 1977 , bassist Larry Junstrom and guitarist Allen Collins and Gary Rossington, only the latter still in the band.

In a short text on the official website of the group in Facebook, Rossington mourned Burns, who said that was “a fun type” and a “great drummer.”
