Colin Vearncombe , famous for its successful “ Wonderful Life” 1987 died at age 53, two weeks after being injured in a traffic accident in Ireland.
The artist known as “Black” was in an induced coma after the car accident he suffered last 10 January near Cork Airport, which suffered head injuries.
The singer, born in Liverpool, died Tuesday surrounded by his family in Cork University Hospital, according to his publicist.
“Colin received the best care possible,” he said in a statement his wife Camilla, who said he was “deeply grateful” to hospital staff who treated her husband.
