Princess gives taste; Carlota Elizabeth called Diana – The Universal


 LONDON youngest daughter of the Duke of Cambridge, William and Catherine, born on Saturday, will be called Carlota Isabel Diana announced Kensington Palace. The girl, fourth in line to the throne of the United Kingdom, will be known as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.
 


 


 “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their daughter Diana Isabel Carlota,” the brief statement issued by Kensington Palace.
 


 


 It is believed that Carlota, female Carlos, is a tribute to his grandfather and heir to the throne, Prince Charles, while Isabel would be by her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II and Diana by her deceased paternal grandmother, Princess Diana, mother William.
 


 


 Carlota was until recently the favorite name in betting, but lately had been ousted to the second position in favor of Alice, while Isabel and Diana also included.
 


 


 Princess Charlotte was born on Saturday, with 3.7 kilos of weight, at St. Mary’s Hospital in London, after a quick delivery without apparent problems that allowed the girl Catalina and were discharged the same day.
 


 


 Before announcing the name of the princess, her parents had to inform Isabel II, for whom the newborn is the fifth great-granddaughter.
 


 


 The birth of the Princess of Cambridge officially celebrated yesterday with gun salute in Hyde Park and the Tower of London, as tradition in the UK.
 


 


 King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery fired 41 cannon shots while the Honorable Artillery Company fired another 62 from the Tower of London, with 21 additional guns on behalf of the financial center of the city.
