Eskimos sells Banksy mural done in Gaza – The Universal

A man Strip 33 years said he had been tricked into selling a valuable work of British street artist Banksy for less than $ 200.

It is believed that the popular graffiti artist was in Gaza in February and left four murals in the area. One, that showed the Greek goddess Niobe, painted on a door that was the last of a two storey property Darduna family, in northern Gaza.

Ignoring its value, Rabie Darduna said he had been misled to sell door to an interested local artist for only 700 shekels, or about $ 175, he said Saturday. Now he wants to regain the door.

The artist who bought the door, Belal Khaled said he did not intend to deceive anyone. He just wants to protect the work and does not intend to profit from it, he said.
