Berlin is working to restore broken mask of Tutankhamun – Herald Tribune

Cairo. EFE. Germany has offered 50,000 euros to Egypt to restore the mask of Tutankhamen, broken in 2014, accidentally, by officials of the National Museum in Cairo, said Egyptian Minister of Antiquities, Mamdouh to Damati. He said that this initiative demonstrates the “strong collaborative links” between Berlin and Cairo in the field of antiquities and archeology. This grant will resume work to restore the golden mask.
