Angelina Jolie’África’ direct a film about the struggle against … – 20minutos.es

Angelina Jolie returns to stand behind the camera with Africa A biopic about Kenyan archaeologist and paleontologist Richard Leakey . Skydance will produce this film whose script comes from the hand of Eric Roth ( Forrest Gump, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button ), Oscar-winning screenwriter.

The film will tell the true story of Leakey fought the battle against elephant poachers seeking ivory. These hunters were a real danger to the African fauna.

Producer David Ellison notes that “ Africa is a story worth telling (…) I have it very close to the heart, and I know it exceed my expectations of the hands of Angelina .’s an amazing and talented director and I’m sure that will make the flawless script by Eric Roth in the project I’ve always wanted to do Skydance ” publishes Variety .

Jolie, meanwhile, says he feels a deep connection to the African continent. In addition, he notes that he loved “the beautiful script from Eric about a man involved in a violent conflict with elephant poachers” who emerged with a “deep sense of responsibility for the world around him” .
