Dreaming of glory of the Catalan film ’10, 000 miles’ just broke after the announcement of the Film Academy that eventually will be ‘Living is easy with eyes closed’ the fight for an Oscar for best film Foreign Language. David Trueba’s film, which swept the Goya with the beautiful true story of a teacher who traveled to Almería in 1966 to meet John Lennon will be fought with all the international film to win the statuette of Tinseltown. ‘Living is easy’ not only beat ’10, 000 miles’ (a film made with little money and a lot of intelligence, in the words of Trueba) but also to ‘the child’, the last and blockbuster work of Daniel Monzón (Cell 211 ), which narrates a story thriller tone of traffickers and police in the Strait.
