Auctioned off the ashes of Truman Capote by $ 45,000 – CubaSÍ

Some people are willing to pay a lot for any object that has to do with the late writer Truman Capote, even if they are his ashes.

The auctioneer Julien”s Auctions of Los Angeles announced Saturday that the wooden box is japanese, which contains the ashes of Capote sold for $ 45,000. The auctioneer had estimated that it would sell for $ 4,000.

The ashes are dated August 28, 1984, days after the death of the author of “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” (baby Doll luxury) and “In Cold Blood” (In cold blood), the 59-year-old.

The ashes were preserved over the years by Joanne Carson, close friend of Capote and a former wife of the star of television, Johnny Carson.
