Orange added service subscription video on demand (SVOD) of Wuaki.tv its pay TV. And it will do for free for six months.
The French telecommunications company continues to diversify its range of Spanish television in a rising market, now adding a third VOD platform to its own service. Orange subscribers will have access to Wuaki Selection and 1,200 movies and 4,000 episodes of series.
For those who subscribe to the service before 31 January 2016 VOD catalog access will be free until May, spending cost then € 4.99 per month, € 2 less than the normal subscription Wuaki Selection.
With this move, Orange committed “the new consumer habits, video on demand and across multiple screens,” said the company said in a statement. Wuaki Selection joins a catalog of linear thematic channels and VOD Orange TV itself, which has 2,000 titles on demand.
“We are confident that this agreement will bring great benefit to customers Orange, because we have one of the largest catalogs of Spain under demand, “said Jacinto Roca, CEO of Wuaki.tv. “Moreover we have content agreements with international producers of high quality, such as HBO.”
