Rolene Strauss, Miss World 2014 – levante.emv.com

The representative of South Africa, Rolene Strauss , 22, was chosen Miss World 2014 at the end of the gala held this Sunday in London, with the participation of candidates from 121 countries.

The first runner-up Edina Kulcsar was Hungarian , 23, and thirdly ended US Elizabeth Safrit 22.

Miss Australia, Courtney Thorpe, and hostess, Miss England, Carina Tyrrell were the Two other finalists of the contest.

The young South African, 22, with brown hair and measuring 1.77 meters tall, is medical student , and it happens in the throne Megan Young , the beauty of Filipino descent who was crowned last year in Bali (Indonesia).

The event, where young paraded with different traditional costumes, took place at the Excel Exhibition Centre, west of the British capital, in its 64th edition, from his birth in London in 1951.

The winner of Miss World also spent a year visiting various projects charity worldwide, travel to Honduras to build a school in Santa Barbara , birthplace of Maria Jose Alvarado, Miss Honduras 2014, who was killed with her sister a few weeks ago in his native country .

The main favorite for British betting houses to take the crown as Miss Australia, Courtney Thorpe; Miss South Africa, Rolene Strauss; and Miss England, Carina Tyrrell not failed and reached the semifinals.

Rolene Strauss thus became the third South African to be crowned Miss World , after Penelope Anne Coelen in 1948 and Anneline Kriel, in 1974, after the resignation of British Helen Morgan.
