US theaters begin to exhibit “The Interview” – BBC

The controversial film “The Interview” began to be exhibited in some independent US theaters at midnight on Thursday.

The film parodies the regime of North Korea and has been a huge controversy in recent weeks after cyber attack on Sony, attributed to Pyongyang.

On Wednesday, Sony Pictures also announced that comedy can be prepaid online through an independent pathway Google and Microsoft platform, but is only available in the US.

The initial release of the film was postponed threats hackers, but now Sony says the decision to display it responds to its commitment to freedom of expression
