Kaspersky talks about hacking into Sony – The Universal

On November 24, Sony Pictures found that the corporate network suffered a media attack in which various types of information were leaked on the Internet, from addresses and Social Security numbers of 47,000 employees to internal emails. In recent days various media have released some revelations caused by the attack which was victim brand.

With the passage of time, there has been noticeable and obvious severity of cyber attack made against the firm Sony Pictures, and attributed to a group of cybercriminals.

In this situation, Eugene Kaspersky, CEO of Kaspersky Lab, offered the following statements about its impact:

“Hacking Sony is probably the first cyber attack high profile worldwide. The most worrying aspect for me is that this group of hackers is threatening to launch terrorist attacks. I do not know if there really is a link between this group and the terrorist but the threat itself shows that politically motivated hackers can adopt terrorist methods. The collaboration between traditional hacktivist groups and terrorist organizations has been a fear of mine for years.

Of course, this kind of attack on the entertainment industry is very damaging and expensive, but probably not as dangerous as an attack on critical infrastructure. In any case, this is a very strong signal that even the most advanced high-tech companies are not immune to attacks from hackers, and we must prepare for very serious and painful future attacks. Unfortunately, it is not easy to predict what industry or company will be the next target. “

Among the leaked information, the company confirmed that it had leaked version of the script for the next film in the series of secret agent James Bond, entitled “Spectre” and whose filming started a few days ago. It was also revealed in the budget of the film, which should hit theaters in late 2015, and possibly be around in 300 million dollars, which would make it the most expensive in the history of Agent 007.
