27% of the proposals received are related to Housing and Cultural Facilities 24%. 11% of the programs are of Education, 5% are offices and the remaining 33% includes mainly Sport, Commerce, Government Buildings, Transport and Urban Projects.

Started in 1987 by the city of Barcelona and the European Commission, the prize of € 60,000 is the most important European architecture and is awarded biennially to works finished in the two years prior to shipment. The main objectives are to recognize and highlight excellence in the field of architecture and publicize the important contribution of European professionals in the development of new ideas and technological research as well as clients who allow these works possible.

The Emerging Architect Prize consists of € 20,000 and is awarded to those professionals who begin their work. Earlier studies have won architectural Bosch Capdeferro Arquitectures by the Collage House in Girona and Langarita-Navarro Architects for the Red Bull Music Academy / Ship Music Matadero Madrid.

The Prize 2015 presents an important innovation, the implementation of Young Talent Architecture Prize (YTAP). This award will recognize the best architectural projects final grade and will allow authors establish a professional network with the Winner, Finalists and Emerging Architect.
