La Orquesta Lira Numantina presented in the Palau de la Música … – Reuters

La Sala Iturbi the Palau de la Música in Valencia on Tuesday will host a concert by the Orquesta Lira Numantina, which present Valencian public’s Symphony Numancia ‘, the Alicante maestro Josep Vicent Egea.

The soriana training, which will be directed by the owner Carlos Garcés, premiered this play last Saturday at the XXII Fall Musical Soriano reports Valencia auditorium in a statement.

The program is called ‘The story made music. A tribute to numantino people ‘, and will be made also by opening’ Coriolanus’ Ludwig van Beethoven and the orchestral suite “The Firebird” by Igor Stravinsky.

The ‘Symphony Numancia’ tries to capture the heroic story of Numancia through three distinct parts, using instruments and sounds of the time to try to evoke loudly, from a personal view, the siege of the Roman Empire the town of Numancia.

The Lira Numantina was presented in 2009 on the stage of the Palace Theater Odon Alonso Audience of Soria, and at present with 80 musicians. Formed by students of Higher Grade and professionals between 15 and 30 years, started out in the ‘Musical Marathon Soriano’, framed in the Fall Musical Soriano in September 2008, and premiered the work “Laguna Onion ‘of Alicante composer Manuel Castelló.

The conductor of the orchestra, Carlos Garcés, has a degree in Orchestral Conducting with honors from the Conservatory of Music of the Basque Country. It has recently been appointed Head of the St. Cecilia Concert Band Cullera Director and this year has among other commitments lead the Symphony Orchestra of Vallés, and work with the teacher Bernard Haitink at the Lucerne Festival Orchestra. By April 2015 debut at the Teatro de la Zarzuela.
