The album is being promoted as the “back to the blues” of the band, in a press release that announced that it has “the heart and soul of the Rolling Stones”.
Blue & Lonesome will be released on 2 December this year. The disc will include 12 songs from the band, reported the news site CNN.
The material was recorded in just three days in the studios British Grove in London. The peculiar thing is that the studio is located near Richmond, the city where the Stones started, when they played in bars and nightclubs.
This album will be launched more than 10 years of his last album, A Bigger Bang, which came out in 2005.
“This album is the trial of the purity of his love for making music and the blues, to the Stones, the source of everything that you do,” said Don Was, co-producer of Blue and Lonely.
the songs on The new album include “Just Your Fool” (composed and recorded in 1960 by Little Walter), “Commit A Crime” (composed and recorded in 1966 by the singer of Chicago blues Howlin’ Wolf) and “All Of Your Love” (composed and recorded in 1967 by Magic Sam).
