A waiter breaks a statue of two thousand years in London – Diario Digital Juárez

London If it wasn’t something terrible, it would just be hilarious: a waiter who was serving at a private event in the British Museum struck and broke the finger of a priceless roman statue.

The museum acknowledged the incident Thursday and said that the Venus of Townley, of two thousand years, since it was restored.

The Art Newspaper was the first medium to report the incident, which occurred in December of last year.

The newspaper reported that a waiter was working too close to the statue, which was on a pedestal under, when you hit the thumb of the right hand, it broke and fell to the floor.

The museum said the incident was taken seriously and that those responsible for what happened were rebuked. The institution did not say what the name of the company that gave you the food service.
