Josep Maria Esquirol wins the National Essay Prize – avant-Garde.com.mx

Esquirol (1963) is a philosopher and professor of the University of Barcelona, where he teaches courses in political philosophy and contemporary thought. In addition, he directs the research group Ethics and Contemporary Philosophy and the master Thought and Creativity of La Salle.

in Addition to “The resistance intimate”, which last year won the City Award of Barcelona, has published “contemporary philosophers and the technique. Ortega to amsterdam Sloterdijk”, “The breath of day”, “The respect or the attentive gaze” and “the self and the other: the experiences existential interculturality”, among others.

The prize is awarded annually by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport and is endowed with 20,000 euros (21,700 usd).
