SyFy announced the second season of ‘Van Helsing’, the series starring Kelly Overton. The filming is expected to begin in January 2017.

Van Helsing, the series starring Kelly Overton, has issued four chapters so far, however —as reported by Deadline—, has already been announced we will have a second season of 13 episodes. The shoot is expected to be in January of 2017.

“We have a terrifying and wonderful journey planned for Vanessa, their allies and their enemies. I think that is a world and a story that can drag on for many years and inspired this so thanks to Syfy for putting your trust in the team and in the distribution", explained Neil LaBute, showrunner and writer of the series.

The plot revolves around

Vanessa Helsing, played by Kelly Overton, who is the last hope to save humanity after waking up in a future ruled by vampires.
