Portraits of Picasso fill in the National Portrait Gallery – avant-Garde.com.mx

The exhibition, curated by Elizabeth Cowling, arises from the collaboration with the museu Picasso in Barcelona and the works on display have been borrowed from collections around the world.

Among others, they may be cartoon-style portraits of family, friends and lovers of Picasso, as well as some self-portraits in his early years.

The sample covers the entire creative phase of the painter (1881-1973) and seeks to provide an overview of their artistic evolution, from drawings of classic paintings full of expressiveness, photographs, cartoons, and sculptures.
