the Get Down is the new Baz Luhrmann production premiering tomorrow on Netflix. The drama tells the story of young people who pursue their dreams of success in the music scene, although recorded 12 chapters, this year scheduled broadcast only have 6 of them.
The series will be starring Shameik Moore, Justice Smith, Herizen Guardiola, Yahya Abdul-Mateen I, Jaden Smith, Skylan Brooks, Tremaine Brown Jr, Mamoudou Athie, Jimmy Smits and Giancarlo Esposito.
the production is made by a multidisciplinary team of collaborators: the winner of four awards from the Academy Catherine Martin, the legendary MC Nas and executive producer, associate producer Grandmaster Flash, the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis, ASICs as hip-hop historian and supervising producer Nelson George
