The 1996 film directed by Henry Selick, was performed with animation stop-motion and the idea would take it up with actors of flesh and blood and perhaps new technological advances, such as those recreated the animals that accompany Mowgli and the dragon friend Pete.

According to Deadline Page, director Sam Mendes is in early talks to take charge of this project, in which case it would be the one to make to life a script written by Nick Hornby, produced by Joe Roth .

In addition to this information, there are no further details on this project, so you have to be aware of what can be announced later.
