Elvis fans come in pilgrimage to his grave – Terra Peru

Thousands of Elvis Presley fans held their annual pilgrimage to Graceland to participate in a meeting on Monday in light of candles to commemorate the 39th anniversary of the death of the singer.

despite intermittent rain, followers of Presley from various parts of the world held candles and slowly walked down the mausoleum of rock icon ‘n’ roll, who died on August 16, 1977. Since his death, fans have come to show their appreciation at the tomb of Presley, which is located on the grounds of which was his home and is now a museum.

With the watch ends Elvis Week, the annual celebration of his life and career. Also Monday, officers of the house-museum announced details of a new entertainment complex of 18,600 square meters (200,000 square feet) which is being built opposite the residence Graceland.

The police presence was strengthened due to a nearby protest of activists who support the movement Black Lives Matter (Black Lives Matter).
