Leonard Cohen celebrates with a new album – The Nacional.com

The legendary Canadian musician Leonard Cohen recorded an album which will be released in the fall, announced his record company.

The album, titled You Want It Darker , stays faithful to the typical sound of the octogenarian singer hoarsely, Columbia Records said, without specifying the date.

The only thing the company is that the album will be released after the Sept. 21, day in which Leonard Cohen turns 82.

His latest work, Popular Problems , was published in 2014 two days after the singer celebrated his 80th birthday. In this production humorously he addressed the issue of age, as well as religion and war. In May 2015 he released Can not Forget: A Souvenir of the Grand Tour , a job that included only two new titles.

The interpreter of the classic “Hallelujah” (1984) and “So Long, Marianne” (1967) had retired in nineties, but since returning never hid his motivation to record new albums and make international tours is essentially financial.
