Sinatra died suddenly Wednesday as cardiac arrest when he was on tour in Daytona Beach, Florida, his family said in a statement to the Associated Press.

The family is heartbroken by the untimely death of his son, brother, father and uncle, it is stated in the text. No further details were provided.

Kidnapped and held in exchange for the payment of a ransom when he was 19, then Sinatra Jr. had followed the footsteps of his father in the music sector. He eventually worked for him as musical director and conductor.

Last year he played the national anthem at a game New York Yankees.
