An advertising campaign that aimed to promote tourism in the Spanish city of Vigo suffered a setback after the image used to be given confusion. Criticism of a Twitter user referred to the similarity of the campaign logo with a line of cocaine.
The promotional image includes the silhouette of the Cies Islands, the main attraction of the city of Vigo, drawn in white on a red background. This sort of small posters were placed on planes of the airline Air Nostrum order to encourage tourism in this Spanish region.
However, those responsible for the advertising campaign did not have the view a renowned Spanish writer on Twitter generate a great impact. For the user identified as Diego San José this picture was much like a line of cocaine ready to be inhaled.
