E! News confirmed that Abigail Breslin , who rose to fame for his role in Little Miss Sunshine , will play Baby in the television musical based on Dirty Dancing that prepares ABC. Jessica Sharzer , who has worked for The L World and American Horror Story , will write the script for the remake.
original story starred in 1987 by Jennifer Grey , Patrick Swayze and Jerry Orbach .
