Beijing, December 12 (EFE) .- A three-dimensional projection of Taiwanese singer Teresa Teng, one of the greatest pop icons Chinese, died 20 years ago, will give a virtual tour of 10 cities in China in 2016, the official Xinhua news agency quoted the new event organizers said.

The hologram Teng, the main star of the song for Chinese and Taiwanese in the 80s and 90s, which was developed by US-based Digital Domain, and gave a concert in Taipei last May, to mark the twentieth anniversary of the singer, and next year he will perform in Beijing, Shanghai and other Chinese cities.

The tour was filed in Taipei, Taiwan’s capital by the foundation in charge of continuing to preserve the legacy of Teresa Teng, whose president, Frank Teng, brother of the former singer explained that in every performance in China hologram play about 15 songs.

At its premiere in May, the virtual image of Teresa Teng sang six songs, and foundation and Digital Domain are working to have a repertoire of at least 60 hits of the artist, who died in 1995 as a result of an asthma attack while on holiday in Thailand, at the age of 42 years.

After the tour of Chinese soil, it is expected to Teresa Teng digitized trip also to other markets in Asia-Pacific with significant Chinese communities and where it is still remembered as Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, US, Canada or Australia.
