Published the first chapter of the sequel to “Kill a Mockingbird” – Clarín.com

The first chapter of the new book by Harper Lee, Go Set Watchman (Put a guard) starts with a flood Scout returning by train to Maycomb, Alabama, where is received by a young man who wants to marry her.

Go Set Watchman will be published on July 14. It takes place in the 1950s, 20 years after To Kill a Mockingbird ( To Kill a Mockingbird ) , the famous novel by Lee awarded a Pulitzer.

The chapter was published Friday in the The Wall Street Journal and The Guardian while growing expectation about the first book Read from Kill a Mockingbird . The American publisher Harper Collins said orders for new work orders are the highest in the history of the company and libraries around the world are planning events to celebrate the launch of the book.

Kill a Mockingbird , considered one of the key pieces of literature of the southern United States, addressed issues such as racism, tolerance and justice from the point of view of two children (inspired by the life of the author herself and her childhood friend, Truman Capote) and created the character of Atticus Finch one of the role models for American morale.

Go Set Watchman was written before To Kill a Mockingbird , but his manuscript was lost for a long time. His recent appearance was surrounded by suspicion and controversy .
