Prohibited notice because the model out “sickly” skinny – Trade

The authority of UK advertising regulation announced a ban on an advertisement of the French luxury group Yves Saint Laurent because the model in it is unhealthily thin .

The photo in black and white, with a model lying on the floor and wearing a short black skirt, was considered ” irresponsible “for the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) .

” We believe the model is unhealthily thin at this and conclude that it is irresponsible ” indicates the opinion of the ASA , speaking after a lawsuit when advertising appeared in the magazine Elle.

The decision means that the ad can not be published in its present form .

In early April, in an offensive against the ravages of the anorexia , French MPs voted to ban use models too thin and malnourished, prompting criticism modeling agency, who consider themselves victims of a “stigma”
